We chose this design because the minimal setting allows the lab grown diamond to appear to float on the neckline. The rubover setting has a narrower edge than is typical so you see less metal around the stone and the small, fixed bail is subtle so the pendant is perfectly balanced but positioned close to the chain (giving a look similar to the popular 'slider' style but sitting better on the chain). The pendant is suspended from a faceted trace link chain that adds its own sparkle to the piece, complementing the lab grown diamond perfectly. This is a great size of pendant, the lab grown diamond weighing 1.61ct. It is supplied with an independent diamond grading report for your peace of mind. As a D colour it is perfectly icy white (this is the best colour grade a diamond can achieve, it doesn't get any more colourless than this) and as a VS1 clarity inclusions in the stone are so tiny that even an experienced grader will find it somewhat difficult to find them under 10x magnification. To the unaided eye, there will be no inclusions visible at all. Lab-grown diamonds share the composition and physical and optical properties of natural diamonds but are produced in a factory rather than occurring naturally deep inside the Earth. They are more affordable than their natural counterparts and as techniques advance prices are falling. Especially in larger sizes and finer qualities, the difference in price can be very attractive. Rhodium plating can be reapplied at any time for a small charge.
