Your wedding ring is usually the most important and sentimental piece of jewellery you will ever own, but choosing it can be overwhelming: where a traditional yellow gold band used to be the default choice there is now a huge variety of plain, patterned and stone-set rings available in a range of metals and materials. Whether it is a traditional wedding band or a sparkling, stone-set stunner, we have an extensive selection of wedding rings available in our showroom for you to try, and a highly experienced team of jewellers to advise and answer all your questions.
If you decide to have a traditional wedding ring, there are a number of choices you can make to personalise your band and ensure it is just right. Once you have chosen a profile – traditional D-shape, comfortable court or striking flat to name just a few – you can select the width and depth you prefer: subtle and slim to nestle next to your engagement ring or a bold, heavy band that really makes a statement. The ring can then be produced in the precious metal of your choice: 9ct or 18ct yellow, white or rose gold, platinum or palladium.
An exciting selection of textures and patterns can add an extra detail to your wedding ring. Diamond cut patterns can add sparkle and even give the illusion of diamonds, while contemporary matt finishes give a less shiny feel, popular with grooms. From simple grooves to complex floral patterns there really is something for everyone.
Stone-set wedding rings are increasingly popular with brides, with variations in setting style and stone size available to match your engagement ring. If you love sparkle then there are lots of styles to choose from, from the subtle to the show-stopping.
If precious metals are not for you, then a contemporary alternative such as titanium provides a fashionable and durable option, and is also available in many profiles and styles. This lightweight metal is incredibly strong and has a slightly darker, more industrial appearance than white gold. It is especially popular with grooms who have manual jobs.
Having an onsite workshop allows us to produce bespoke pieces, crafted to your individual specifications. Our workshop specialises in handmade wedding rings, made to fit perfectly with your engagement ring, and because the workshop is onsite, your engagement ring doesn’t need to be sent anywhere. You can also view the ring at different points in the process to make sure it is perfect.
Our workshop are also regularly asked to produce wedding rings from our customer’s own gold. Often this is a family heirloom piece, perhaps a relative’s wedding ring or some other jewellery that has been passed down. Melting down and remaking a wedding ring can produce a hugely sentimental piece, and is a lovely way to involve a loved one in your big day. We can even incorporate your gold into an inlay in a white gold, platinum or palladium band if you don’t want to wear the yellow gold colour.
Many of our wedding rings are available to view and try on in the showroom as samples, crafted in silver and with cubic zirconia in the stone-set bands. This allows us to show you as many options as possible, and means we always have them in stock to try. Ordering your wedding rings usually takes around four weeks, but if you need them more quickly this is usually possible.
A selection of our plain and stone-set wedding rings are available to view on our website, with our full range ready and waiting for you to try on in our showroom. If you have any specific requirements then come and have a chat to one of our jewellers who will be happy to answer your questions and talk you through your options.
